Damage Assistance Needed (Organizing and Carrying out)

13:25 May 2 2011 Upper Sand Mountain Parish

Description
The disaster response in the Sand Mountain area seems to lack the organization necessary to respond effectively to the families that still need assistance clearing their homes and properties of fallen trees and tornado debris and protecting their salvagable property from further damage. Hopefully starting tomorrow (Tuesday) teams will be dispersed from the Upper Sand Mountain Parish (256-638-2126), location on map) to specific families that need help. Chainsaws, small tractors (for moving heavy logs) are in high demand; gloves, heavy boots, long pants suggested attire. Other needs unknown, but possibly tarps, non-perishable food, garbage bags.
Credibility: UP DOWN 0
